Blanching:

The blanching word comes from the French word "blanchir" which means to whiter. Blanching is actually is not a direct method of cooking, usually this is the preliminary followed for food which would eventually undergo another method of cooking. In this method the food commodities are immersed in boiling water  & end cook for the requirement time, and the process is completed after soaking or refreshing into ice water. Blanching is basically done in order to develop the colour of the food items and to removing the skin of vegetables. This process use for steer fry veg, for making salads, cooking pasta, etc

Refreshing:

Refreshing is one of the more important method is widely used in kitchens, in this process boiled or blanched vegetables are treated under running cold water so that the ingredient may not over cooked further. Mainly used this method for curry or salad purpose.

Poaching:

Poaching can be defined as moist cooking process in which food gently simmer into the water and to maintain the temperature just below the boiling point between 70℃-96℃. This the method of cooking where a food commodity is simmer in a liquid. Mainly use for eggs, fish, meat.

Boiling is a most common method into the kitchens where food items are cooked in water at 100℃ or above,

Steaming:

Steaming is a principal of cooking when the strainer placed over the boiling water and keep the food inside the strainer and put the lid back on for trapping the steam for cook the food. This is very nice and good process for cooking momo, dim sums, chicken, etc it is widely used all over the world.

Poeling:

Poeling is a special variant French process where uses good quality meat and the process is done where cooking the meat dipped into the whole basted butter into a closed container after that test become delicious of that processed meat.

Baking:

Baking is the method where food kept into lock container oven where uses dry heat into circular motion for eventually the whole food is also widely use everywhere in the kitchen mainly it is use into bakery section for making breads, biscuits, puffs, cakes

Roasting:

Roasting is the process where meat or vegetable cooked into direct slow or high heat for getting the burning effect on the body of chicken or vegetable and the smoke flavor also eventually cook further for a while. Most commonly use in the kitchen, roasted chicken or duck is very popular in these days.

Grilling:

Grilling is a process where cook the meat on the thin rod marked grill where uses dry heat by using coal fire downward the grill rod, and the direct fire gives rod mark on meat skin of vegetable for good-looking, it is widely used for BBQ purpose.

Sous vide cooking :

The sous vide cooking process started in the 1970s and it is an amazing method of cooking into whole cooking method history, where meats(season with olive oil, salt pepper herbs), put into vacuum bags and kept into tight water filled container with precise low temperature input for long time, followed by the cooking time of sous vide, thereafter you get delicious season perfectly cooked meat intact with moist of meat, so the meat become very testy, in sou vide cooking process the meat never be over cooked. Just keep in mind that It is not a boiling process at all, it is a storing process where meat kept for long period of time.
